Typeform's pricing page lists Basic, Plus, and Business at $39, $79, and $129 a month. Scroll further down the same page to the plan comparison table, and the same three plans are priced at $29, $59, and $99 a month instead. Typeform's own Help Center has a standing disclaimer for exactly this: "we sometimes experiment with our pricing plans... you may see differences between this page and typeform.com/pricing."
I pulled Typeform's live pricing page, its Help Center free plan article, and its homepage to see what the platform actually costs today, where the numbers disagree with each other, and how it compares to Formbricks, an open feedback and experience management suite.
I believe Typeform is the right call if:
- You need visually polished, conversational lead-gen or marketing forms
- You want built-in AI-driven lead enrichment and follow-up automation through Growth Flow
- Design quality matters more to you than running an ongoing, structured feedback program
It's a weaker fit if:
- You need a dedicated NPS, CSAT, or PMF program with segmentation and closed-loop workflows, not just a form
- You're budget-sensitive on a per-response basis at low volume
- You want a single price to plan around instead of two different numbers for the same plan on the same page
Because of that, I've included a full comparison with Formbricks later in this breakdown.

Typeform Shows Two Prices for the Same Plans
This is the part a "typeform pricing" search actually runs into. The main pricing cards near the top of typeform.com/pricing list Basic at $39/month ($28/month billed annually), Plus at $79/month ($56/month billed annually), and Business at $129/month ($91/month billed annually).
Scroll down to the "Compare all plans" feature comparison table on the exact same page, and the same three plan names show different numbers: Basic at $29/month ($25/month billed annually), Plus at $59/month ($50/month billed annually), and Business at $99/month ($83/month billed annually).
Typeform's own Help Center addresses this directly, in an article about the Free plan: "we sometimes experiment with our pricing plans, to make sure they are optimized for how you're using Typeform. We are experimenting now, so you may see differences between this page, and the plans you see in your account or on typeform.com/pricing." That disclaimer describes a difference between pages. What I found was a difference within the same page.
Because the top pricing cards are the number most visitors see first and the one indexed by search snippets, this breakdown uses those figures ($39/$79/$129 monthly) as the primary reference, with the lower "Compare all plans" figures noted here as a live, sourced example of the inconsistency rather than a second confirmed price.
| Plan | Pricing Cards (Top of Page) | Compare-All-Plans Table (Same Page) |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $39/mo, $28/mo annual | $29/mo, $25/mo annual |
| Plus | $79/mo, $56/mo annual | $59/mo, $50/mo annual |
| Business | $129/mo, $91/mo annual | $99/mo, $83/mo annual |

Free Plan: 10 Responses a Month, Documented Only in the Help Center
Captured August 16, 2026 from typeform.com.
Typeform's pricing page doesn't display a Free plan card at all in the main pricing cards. The actual free-tier limit, 10 responses per month, only appears in a dedicated Help Center article.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $0 |
| Responses | 10/month across all forms |
| Forms | Unlimited |
| Question types | All core types, including NPS, Contact Info, Rating, Matrix |
| Included | Logic and branching, URL parameters, custom endings, follow-up emails to yourself, embedding, CSV export, basic reports, Calendly/Zapier/Google Sheets/Slack/Mailchimp/Airtable integrations |
| Not included | Drop-off rate analytics (Business plan and up), custom branding, payment questions, file uploads, multi-language forms, team collaboration, SSO, EU data hosting, HIPAA/BAA |
| Free Plan | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ Unlimited forms, no time limit | ❌ Just 10 responses/month across all forms combined |
| ✅ Full Logic, branching, and API access included | ❌ Response cap doesn't appear on the main pricing page |
| ✅ No credit card required to start | ❌ No drop-off analytics until Business plan |
The Bottom Line: 10 responses a month is enough to test the product, not to run even a small ongoing survey program, and you have to leave the pricing page to find that number.
Basic Plan: $39/Month (or $28/Month Billed Annually)
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $39/month, or $28/month billed annually ($336/year) |
| Responses | 100/month |
| Users | 1 |
| Core Features | Unlimited typeforms, AI-powered form creation, conditional logic, webhooks and integrations |
| Basic Plan | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ AI-powered form creation included at the entry tier | ❌ Single user, no team collaboration |
| ✅ Full webhook and integration access | ❌ 100 responses/month is a hard ceiling |
| ✅ Annual billing drops the effective rate to $28/month | ❌ Still shows Typeform branding |
The Bottom Line: Basic is priced for a single form owner running light lead-gen, not a team collecting meaningful survey volume.
Plus Plan: $79/Month (or $56/Month Billed Annually)
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $79/month, or $56/month billed annually ($672/year) |
| Responses | 1,000/month |
| Users | 3 |
| Core Features | Everything in Basic, remove Typeform branding, custom subdomain |
| Plus Plan | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ 10x the response cap of Basic for roughly 2x the price | ❌ Still no drop-off rate analytics |
| ✅ Branding removal and custom subdomain | ❌ 3-user cap |
| ✅ First tier with real team seats | ❌ No conversion tracking yet |
The Bottom Line: Plus is where a small team can actually collaborate, but drop-off analytics and conversion tracking stay gated to the tier above.
Business Plan: $129/Month (or $91/Month Billed Annually)
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $129/month, or $91/month billed annually ($1,092/year) |
| Responses | 10,000/month |
| Users | 5 |
| Core Features | Everything in Plus, drop-off rate analytics, conversion tracking, priority support and live chat |
| Business Plan | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ First tier with drop-off rate analytics | ❌ Roughly 3x the Basic price |
| ✅ Conversion tracking for lead-gen forms | ❌ No self-hosting or data residency choice |
| ✅ Priority support and live chat | ❌ Still capped at 5 users |
The Bottom Line: Business is where Typeform's analytics actually become useful, drop-off tracking, but it's still a lead-gen and forms feature set, not a structured feedback program layer.
Enterprise Plan: Custom
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | Custom, contact sales |
| Responses & Users | Custom limits |
| Core Features | VIP account management, enterprise-grade security (SSO, HIPAA, GDPR), choice of US or EU data center, custom domains and branding, tailored onboarding, priority expert support |
The Bottom Line: A choice of US or EU data center is one of the only data-residency levers in the entire Typeform ladder, and it only shows up at custom, quote-only pricing.

Talent and Growth Flow: Two Separately Priced Products
Typeform's pricing page also lists two more plans, Talent and Growth Flow, that aren't a fifth tier of the Basic/Plus/Business ladder. They're separate, specialized products bundled onto the same pricing page.
| Product | Price (Monthly) | Price (Annual) | What It's For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Talent | $169/month | $119/month ($1,428/year) | HR and recruiting forms: video Q&A, reCAPTCHA, multi-language, Clarify with AI |
| Growth Flow | $379/month | $266/month | GTM automation add-on: lead enrichment (up to 92% match rate for B2B), Smart Insights, Salesforce integration, email and SMS follow-ups |
Growth Flow is offered as a 14-day free trial before either rate kicks in, and requires a credit card to start. Both products sit alongside, not beneath, the core Basic/Plus/Business/Enterprise plans, so comparing "Typeform pricing" on the core ladder alone will miss two real line items on the same page.

Where Typeform Pricing Falls Short
Two Different Prices for the Same Named Plans
- The pricing cards at the top of typeform.com/pricing and the plan comparison table further down the same page show different monthly and annual numbers for Basic, Plus, and Business
- Typeform's own Help Center acknowledges it experiments with pricing across pages, which doesn't fully explain a discrepancy within a single page load
Free-Tier Cap Isn't on the Pricing Page
- The actual Free plan response limit, 10 responses/month, only appears in a Help Center article, not on typeform.com/pricing itself
- Buyers comparing free tiers across tools have to leave the pricing page entirely to find Typeform's number
Response-Based Pricing Escalates Quickly
- Basic caps at 100 responses/month for $39/month
- Any team running a real survey program is pushed to Plus or Business ($79-129/month) fast
- Drop-off rate analytics, arguably the most useful feedback-specific feature on offer, doesn't unlock until Business
No Self-Hosting or Data Residency Below Enterprise
- A choice of US or EU data center only appears on the custom-priced Enterprise plan
- Every other tier is cloud-only with no region choice
Not Built for Ongoing CX or Feedback Programs
- Typeform is optimized for lead-gen and conversational data capture, not recurring NPS/CSAT tracking, segment-level analysis, or closed-loop follow-up
- There's no dedicated program layer equivalent to a structured feedback tool, even at Business or Enterprise
Formbricks: An Open Feedback and Experience Management Suite
Formbricks isn't a forms tool with response caps hidden across two different pages. It's an open source feedback and experience management suite built around three things: feedback management, feedback analytics, and workflows and integrations, published transparently on every tier.
Feedback Management. Formbricks unifies website surveys, in-app surveys, link surveys, and branded email surveys on one platform, all with full logic available from the free Hobby tier.
Feedback Analytics. Every response flows into one dashboard. Teams can follow individual responses, zoom out for the aggregate view, track drop-off from the start (not gated to a higher tier), and segment by custom attributes.
Workflows and Integrations. Formbricks Workflows automate what happens after a response comes in. Native integrations connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Google Sheets, and Notion through webhooks and a free, unrestricted API on every tier, including the self-hosted Community Edition.

Formbricks Hobby Plan: Free Forever
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $0 |
| Workspaces | 1 |
| Responses | 250/month (cloud) |
| API Access | Full, including MCP |
| Hosting | Frankfurt, Germany |
Where Typeform's Free plan caps at 10 responses/month and doesn't publish that number on its own pricing page, Formbricks Hobby's 250 responses/month is stated on the pricing page itself, with drop-off tracking and full API access included from day one.
| Hobby Plan | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ 250 responses/month, 25x Typeform's Free tier | ❌ 1 workspace only |
| ✅ Drop-off tracking included, not gated to a paid tier | ❌ Formbricks branding shown |
| ✅ Full API access, no restrictions | ❌ No respondent panel equivalent |
| ✅ No credit card required | ❌ Cloud tier caps at 250/month (self-hosting is unlimited) |
The Bottom Line: Hobby's terms are published on the pricing page itself, unlike Typeform's Free tier, whose real cap lives in a separate Help Center article.
Formbricks Pro Plan: $89/month (or $74/month billed annually)
Captured August 15, 2026 from formbricks.com/pricing.
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $89/month, or $74/month billed annually ($890/year) |
| Workspaces | 3 |
| Responses | 2,000/month |
| Added Features | Unlimited seats, attribute-based segmentation, remove branding, all integrations |
Pro's 2,000 responses/month for $74-89/month compares to Typeform Plus's 1,000 responses/month for $56-79/month, roughly double the response volume at a similar price point.
| Pro Plan | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ Unlimited team seats, no per-user pricing | ❌ Cloud deployment only at this tier |
| ✅ Attribute-based segmentation for targeting | ❌ 2,000 response cap (overage available) |
| ✅ All native integrations and webhooks | ❌ 3 workspaces |
| ✅ Published monthly and annual pricing, one number each | ❌ No dedicated respondent panel |
The Bottom Line: Pro is priced for a team running an ongoing feedback program across multiple projects, not a single lead-gen form.
Formbricks Scale Plan: $390/month (or $325/month billed annually)
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $390/month, or $325/month billed annually ($3,900/year) |
| Workspaces | 5 |
| Responses | 5,000/month |
| Added Features | Teams & access roles, quota management |
| Enterprise Add-ons | Feedback unification, AI topic labeling, custom dashboards, 2FA, spam protection |
The Bottom Line: Scale sits below Typeform Business on response cost per dollar while adding governance features (teams, access roles, quota management) Typeform doesn't publish at any self-serve tier.
Formbricks Self-Hosting: Community and Enterprise Editions
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Community Edition | Open source, free, unlimited surveys and responses |
| Enterprise Edition | Contact us, adds SSO (SAML/OIDC), multi-language surveys, whitelabel, support SLAs |
| License | AGPLv3 |
| Data Control | Data never leaves your own infrastructure |
Typeform's only data-residency lever, a US or EU data center choice, sits behind custom Enterprise pricing. Formbricks' free, self-hosted Community Edition puts data ownership entirely in your own infrastructure at any budget, with a managed Cloud option hosted in Frankfurt for teams that want EU hosting without running their own servers.
What Reviewers Say About Typeform
Typeform holds a 4.5 rating across 1,017 reviews on G2 and a 4.7 rating across 973 reviews on Capterra.
| Typeform Reviews | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ Design quality and user experience are the most frequently cited reasons to choose Typeform | ❌ Not well suited to long or complex surveys |
| ✅ Conversational, one-question-at-a-time format is a genuine differentiator | ❌ Higher price per response than form-builder competitors at the entry tier |
The Real Math: Cost Per Response
Typeform's own pricing page doesn't run this comparison, so I did, using only the confirmed numbers above (top pricing cards, billed annually where noted).
| Plan | Annual Cost | Responses Included | Cost Per Response |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typeform Basic | $336/year ($28/mo) | 1,200/year | $0.28 |
| Typeform Plus | $672/year ($56/mo) | 12,000/year | $0.056 |
| Typeform Business | $1,092/year ($91/mo) | 120,000/year | $0.0091 |
| Formbricks Hobby | $0/year | 3,000/year (cloud) | $0.00 |
| Formbricks Pro | $890/year ($74/mo) | 24,000/year | $0.037 |
| Formbricks Scale | $3,900/year ($325/mo) | 60,000/year | $0.065 |
This isn't a perfect like-for-like comparison. Typeform's per-response cost drops sharply at Business because its response cap grows faster than its price, while Formbricks' entry paid tier (Pro) undercuts Typeform's entry paid tier (Basic) by roughly 7x on cost per response. Which one wins depends entirely on which tier you'd actually land on.
Feature Value Breakdown
Pricing Transparency
Typeform's Approach: The main pricing cards and the plan comparison table further down the same page show two different sets of numbers for Basic, Plus, and Business. The true Free-tier cap isn't on the pricing page at all.
Formbricks' Approach: Every tier, Hobby through Scale, is published once, in one place, with monthly and annual pricing shown together.
Value Verdict: Formbricks wins. This is a direct comparison of what's published where, not a subjective call.
Response Volume Per Dollar (Entry Tier)
Typeform's Approach: Basic includes 100 responses/month for $39/month ($0.39/response at list price).
Formbricks' Approach: Hobby includes 250 responses/month free; Pro includes 2,000 responses/month for $74-89/month.
Value Verdict: Formbricks wins on response volume per dollar at the entry paid tier, per the direct pricing-page comparison above.
Design Polish and Conversational UX
Typeform's Approach: The one-question-at-a-time conversational format is Typeform's signature differentiator, and it's the single most-cited reason reviewers choose the product.
Formbricks' Approach: Functional, straightforward form and survey UI without a dedicated conversational-format mode.
Value Verdict: Typeform wins here, clearly. If polished, conversational lead-gen forms are the job, that's a real Typeform strength, not a marketing claim.
Structured Feedback and CX Program Depth
Typeform's Approach: No dedicated NPS/CSAT program layer; drop-off analytics only unlock at Business, and there's no closed-loop or segmentation tooling built for recurring feedback programs.
Formbricks' Approach: Feedback analytics (drop-off tracking from the free tier, attribute-based segmentation on Pro) and Formbricks Workflows for automated follow-up are core to the product, not add-ons.
Value Verdict: Formbricks wins for any buyer running an ongoing feedback program rather than a one-off lead-gen form.
Data Residency and Self-Hosting
Typeform's Approach: A US or EU data center choice exists only on the custom-priced Enterprise plan. No self-hosted option exists at any tier.
Formbricks' Approach: A free, self-hosted Community Edition under AGPLv3 is available at any budget, with Frankfurt-hosted Cloud as a managed alternative.
Value Verdict: Formbricks wins decisively for any buyer where data ownership or residency is a requirement rather than a preference.
Typeform vs Formbricks: Side-by-Side Pricing
| Typeform | Formbricks | |
|---|---|---|
| Free tier | 10 responses/month (not shown on pricing page) | 250 responses/month, published on the pricing page |
| Cheapest paid tier | Basic: $39/month, or $28/month billed annually, 100 responses/month | Pro: $89/month, or $74/month billed annually, 2,000 responses/month |
| Mid tier | Business: $129/month, or $91/month billed annually, 10,000 responses/month | Scale: $390/month, or $325/month billed annually, 5,000 responses/month |
| Enterprise | Custom, VIP account management, US/EU data center choice | Custom, published contact path |
| Drop-off analytics | Business plan and up only | Included from the free Hobby tier |
| Post-response automation | Growth Flow, a separate $379/$266-per-month product | Formbricks Workflows, included on the same platform |
| Self-hosting | Not offered at any tier | Community Edition, free, self-hosted, AGPLv3 |
| Pricing consistency | Two different figures for the same plans on the same page | One published figure per tier |
Who Should Actually Pay for Typeform
Typeform makes sense if you need visually polished, conversational forms for lead-gen or marketing, you want AI-driven lead enrichment and follow-up automation through Growth Flow, and design quality matters more than running an ongoing, structured feedback program.
As an illustrative example, a marketing team might embed a Typeform lead-gen form on a landing page to qualify inbound leads before routing them to sales, an adjacent use case to a structured feedback and CX program. This is a hypothetical scenario built from Typeform's published product positioning, not a documented customer case study.
It's a weaker fit if you need a dedicated, ongoing NPS, CSAT, or PMF program with segmentation and closed-loop workflows, you're budget-sensitive on a per-response basis at low volume, or you want one published price instead of two different numbers for the same plan on the same page.
Typeform Pricing FAQ
Final Verdict
👍 Typeform is the right call if visually polished, conversational forms are the actual job, lead generation, marketing quizzes, event registration, and you want built-in AI lead enrichment through Growth Flow. Reviewers consistently praise its design quality, and that's a genuine, earned differentiator, not just marketing.
👉 Formbricks is the better fit if you're running an ongoing feedback or CX program rather than a one-off form, want drop-off analytics without waiting for a $129/month tier to unlock it, and want one published price per plan instead of two different numbers for the same plan on the same page. A self-hosted Community Edition also gives you a data-ownership path Typeform doesn't offer at any price.
The honest read: these solve adjacent but different problems, conversational lead-gen forms versus structured feedback management. If transparent pricing and a feedback-first feature set matter more to you than conversational polish, see Formbricks' current pricing here, or read our full Typeform alternative breakdown.
