AskNicely Pricing in 2026: What It Actually Costs Without a Sales Call

AskNicely's own pricing page lists three plans, Learn, Grow, and Transform, and every single one of them shows the same call to action: "Talk to sales." There isn't a dollar figure anywhere on the page, not even a starting price.
So this breakdown works with what's actually available: AskNicely's own FAQ (which does disclose a couple of real numbers buried in the fine print), independent contract-data benchmarking from Vendr, and what reviewers report. We compared all of it to Formbricks, an open feedback and experience management suite that publishes every tier's price on its own pricing page.
I believe AskNicely is the right call if:
- You run a multi-location or frontline-heavy service business (retail, healthcare, hospitality, pest control) and want to tie CX scores directly to individual employee coaching and recognition
- You're already budgeting for an annual contract and a sales-assisted onboarding process
- Real-time TV dashboards, team huddles, and frontline gamification matter more than raw pricing transparency
- Your typical survey volume runs 5,000-15,000 responses a year, the range AskNicely's own FAQ says most mid-sized customers fall into
It's a weaker fit if:
- You want to see a real number, or start collecting feedback today, without a sales call, AskNicely's FAQ explicitly states there's no free trial
- Your team is under 500 responses/year or wants a self-serve, developer-first survey tool
- You want a flat, transparent price you can budget around before talking to anyone

What's Actually on the Pricing Page
AskNicely's pricing page presents three tiers with escalating feature sets, but the same "Talk to Sales" button under every one of them:
| Tier | What It Adds |
|---|---|
| Learn | Unlimited users, CSAT/NPS surveys from 500 responses, AI-powered surveys, automated workflows, reports and leaderboards |
| Grow | Everything in Learn, plus AI Insight reports, real-time TV display, Slack/MS Teams integration, review requests, Google review manager, AI-suggested responses |
| Transform | Everything in Grow, plus in-app and white-label surveys, unlimited API data extraction, CX goals and recognition, team huddles, frontline coaching |
The page also shows a second, separate feature-comparison table using entirely different tier names, Basic, Business, and Enterprise, without reconciling the two naming schemes. That's a real signal the page is mid-redesign, and it makes the pricing structure harder to evaluate at a glance than it needs to be.
The Bottom Line: you can see exactly what each tier adds, but not what any of them cost. Every path forward routes through a sales conversation.
The Only Real Numbers AskNicely Publishes
Buried in AskNicely's own pricing FAQ are the only two concrete dollar figures on the entire page:
- SSO (Single Sign-On) is an add-on available for $1,500 annually
- Customers spending more than $9,600/year get assigned a named Customer Success Manager and access to an Activation Team
That $9,600/year threshold is a useful anchor. It implies AskNicely's own team considers that figure a meaningful tier boundary, likely close to where a real customer conversation starts, even though it never appears as a plan price anywhere else on the page.
The FAQ also confirms plans are billed primarily on an annual basis, with discounts available for multi-year commitments, and that AskNicely does not offer a free trial: "our solutions are highly tailored to integrate with your data feeds, processes, and secure customer data."

What Real Contracts Show: Vendr's Benchmarking Data
Since AskNicely won't publish a number, we looked at Vendr, a SaaS procurement benchmarking firm that tracks anonymized contract data. Its AskNicely page is built from 33 real, handled deals, not published rates or guesses.
| Metric | Vendr's Reported Figure |
|---|---|
| Median annual contract value | $8,935/year |
| Low end of range | $6,531/year |
| High end of range | $17,338/year |
| Average savings negotiated off initial quotes | 42.58% |
| Deals tracked | 33 |
Vendr also breaks out rough deployment-size ranges based on its dataset: small deployments (250-500 contacts/month) commonly land between $3,600 and $7,200/year, mid-sized deployments (1,000-2,000 contacts/month) between $12,000 and $24,000/year, and large deployments (5,000+ contacts/month) can exceed $50,000/year with add-ons and professional services.
Worth flagging directly: Vendr's own breakdown uses tier names (Essentials, Growth, Scale) that don't match AskNicely's actual published tier names (Learn, Grow, Transform) on asknicely.com/pricing today. That mismatch itself is a signal of how much this pricing has shifted or how hard it is to pin down externally, treat Vendr's specific per-tier estimates as directional rather than a live AskNicely rate card.
The Bottom Line: this is real contract data, not an AskNicely-published figure, so treat it as directional. But a 42.58% average negotiated discount off initial quotes tells you the sticker price, whatever it is, has real room to move.

Where AskNicely Pricing Falls Short
Zero Dollar Figures for Any Named Plan
- Learn, Grow, and Transform all show "Talk to Sales," with no starting price or ballpark range
- The only two real numbers on the page (the $1,500/year SSO add-on and the $9,600/year CSM threshold) are add-on details, not plan prices
No Free Trial, at Any Budget
- AskNicely's own FAQ states plainly there's no free trial, since its "solutions are highly tailored to integrate with your data feeds, processes, and secure customer data"
- Evaluators can't test the platform hands-on without first booking a demo
Built for Mid-Market-and-Up Response Volumes
- The FAQ states typical response volume for mid-sized businesses is 5,000-15,000/year, implying a sales-assisted, mid-market-and-up motion rather than a self-serve SMB one
- Buyers with lighter feedback needs may be paying for scale they don't need
Confusing, Overlapping Tier Naming
- The page displays both a Learn/Grow/Transform pricing table and a separate Basic/Business/Enterprise feature-comparison table without reconciling them
- A third-party benchmarking source (Vendr) uses yet a third naming scheme (Essentials/Growth/Scale), making it genuinely difficult to compare "AskNicely pricing" across sources
What Reviewers Say
AskNicely holds a 4.7 rating across 1,050 reviews on G2, a profile managed directly by AskNicely.
| AskNicely Reviews | |
|---|---|
| Pros | Cons |
| ✅ Ease of use and intuitive interface, cited across 28+ review mentions | ❌ Limited survey/dashboard customization options |
| ✅ Strong, responsive customer support | ❌ Reporting can feel sluggish or hard to filter/export for comprehensive analytics |
A customer case study on AskNicely's own homepage cites Cinch increasing its NPS from -13.7 to over 40 using the platform, a single customer result rather than a company-wide statistic.
Formbricks: An Open Feedback and Experience Management Suite
Formbricks isn't a single-purpose NPS tool. It's an open source feedback and experience management suite built around three things: feedback management, feedback analytics, and workflows and integrations, all published transparently, all included on every tier rather than gated behind a custom quote.
Feedback Management. Formbricks unifies website surveys, in-app surveys, link surveys, and branded email surveys under one platform and one published price, not a response-volume metric that requires a sales conversation to translate into a real number.
Feedback Analytics. Response data flows into one place regardless of channel. Follow individual response trails or zoom out to the aggregate view, track partial and dropped-off responses, and segment by custom attributes.
Workflows and Integrations. Formbricks Workflows automate what happens after a response comes in. Native integrations connect to Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Google Sheets, and Notion via webhooks and a free, unrestricted API on every tier, including the self-hosted Community Edition.
Formbricks Hobby Plan: Free Forever
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $0 |
| Workspaces | 1 |
| Responses | 250/month |
| API access | Full, including MCP |
| Hosting | Frankfurt, Germany |
Where AskNicely offers no free trial at all, Formbricks Hobby is free forever, with instant self-serve signup and no sales call required.
Formbricks Pro Plan: $74/month
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $74/month, or $890 billed annually |
| Workspaces | 3 |
| Responses | 2,000/month |
| Audience | Respondent identification, contact and segment management, attribute-based segmentation |
| Automation | All integrations, email follow-ups, custom webhooks, iOS/Android SDKs, AI translations |
At $890/year, Pro costs less than a rounding error on Vendr's reported $8,935/year median AskNicely contract, and it's a published number, not an estimate pieced together from third-party contract data.
The Bottom Line: Pro fits a team running an ongoing feedback program with unlimited seats, priced and published, no sales call required to see the number.
Formbricks Scale Plan: $325/month
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Price | $325/month, or $3,900 billed annually |
| Workspaces | 5 |
| Responses | 5,000/month |
| Governance | Teams and access roles, quota management |
| Enterprise add-ons | Feedback unification across sources, AI topic/subtopic labeling, custom dashboards, two-factor authentication |
Captured August 15, 2026 from formbricks.com/pricing.
The Bottom Line: Scale is the highest published, self-serve tier, still below Vendr's reported low end of AskNicely's contract range ($6,531/year) even at the annual rate.
Formbricks Self-Hosting: Community Edition
The free, self-hosted Community Edition, licensed under AGPLv3, is where Formbricks diverges most sharply from AskNicely's cloud-only, sales-led model:
- True customer-controlled self-hosting. Data never leaves your own infrastructure.
- No response limits. Unlimited surveys, responses, and team members.
- No vendor lock-in. Even if you stop paying for Enterprise features, the Community Edition and your data remain accessible.
- Full API on self-hosted, too.

Feature Value Breakdown
Pricing Transparency
AskNicely's Approach: Zero dollar figures for any named plan. The only two real numbers on the entire pricing page are an SSO add-on price and a CSM eligibility threshold, neither of which is a plan price.
Formbricks' Approach: Every tier, Hobby through Scale, is priced and published on formbricks.com/pricing, with monthly and annual billing options on all of them.
Value Verdict: Formbricks wins decisively. This is what's published versus what isn't, not a subjective call.
Self-Serve Accessibility
AskNicely's Approach: No free trial, no self-serve signup, every plan requires a sales conversation, per AskNicely's own FAQ.
Formbricks' Approach: Free forever Hobby tier with instant signup, no sales call required to start collecting feedback.
Value Verdict: Formbricks wins clearly for any team that wants to evaluate a platform hands-on before committing budget.
Frontline and Location Analytics Depth
AskNicely's Approach: Real-time TV dashboards, team huddles, frontline coaching prompts, and recognition/leaderboards are purpose-built for multi-location, frontline-facing service businesses.
Formbricks' Approach: No equivalent frontline coaching or TV-dashboard feature exists in Formbricks' published feature set.
Value Verdict: AskNicely wins here. If your CX program is built around coaching individual frontline employees at scale across locations, that's real, purpose-built depth Formbricks doesn't claim to match.
Who Should Actually Pay for AskNicely
AskNicely makes sense if you run a multi-location or frontline-heavy service business wanting to tie CX scores directly to individual employee coaching and recognition, and you have the budget and patience for a quote-based, sales-assisted, annual-contract relationship.
It's a weaker fit if you want a published, self-serve price before talking to sales, you want to try before you buy, or your team is smaller than the 5,000-15,000 responses/year range AskNicely's own FAQ describes as typical for mid-sized customers.
A useful illustration: a 40-location dental group wants branch managers to see real-time CSAT on a break-room TV and recognize top-performing staff weekly, a workflow AskNicely is purpose-built for, but the group has no way to see even a ballpark annual cost before booking a sales call.
AskNicely Pricing FAQ
Final Verdict
👍 AskNicely is the right call if you run a multi-location or frontline-heavy service business that wants to tie CX scores directly to individual employee coaching, recognition, and reputation management, and you have the budget and patience for a quote-based, sales-assisted annual contract. Reviewers consistently praise its ease of use and support quality, and its frontline coaching tools are genuinely purpose-built for that use case.
👉 Formbricks is the better fit if you need a real number before your first sales call, you want to try a platform hands-on before committing budget, and you're evaluating specifically for feedback and survey collection rather than frontline gamification and reputation management. Every tier is published, monthly and annual billing are both available, and the AGPLv3-licensed Community Edition gives you a self-hosted path AskNicely doesn't offer at any price.
The honest read: AskNicely's pricing opacity isn't unique in this category, but the complete absence of even a starting price, paired with no free trial, means the real cost only becomes visible after a sales conversation and, per Vendr's data, meaningful negotiation. If you need one public number to plan around instead of a "Talk to Sales" form and a third-party estimate, see Formbricks' current pricing here.
